Budget alerts

Budget alerts automatically notify you by email when a category crosses a threshold you define. Each user manages their own alerts independently.

Create an alert

  • In Finance → Budget alerts, click New alert.
  • Category: leave blank to monitor all expenses, or choose a specific category.
  • Threshold (%): you are alerted when actuals reach this percentage of the forecast. For example, 80 % to be warned before overspending.
  • Click Create alert.

Alert logic

  • Expenses: alert if actuals ≥ X % of the budgeted amount for the category.
  • Income: alert if receipts remain below X % of the forecast target.

Manage your alerts

  • Enable / Disable: use the toggle on each alert. Re-enabling resets the counter.
  • "Notified" indicator: an orange dot appears on alerts that have already fired.
  • Delete: click the delete icon. Irreversible.
