Secure your account with two-factor authentication (2FA)

Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds an essential layer of protection to your account. Even if your password is compromised, no one can access your workspace without the temporary code generated by your phone. This guide explains how to enable it in under 5 minutes.

What you need

  • Your smartphone (iOS or Android)
  • An authenticator app: Google Authenticator, Aegis (Android), Raivo (iOS) or any TOTP-compatible app.

Step 1: Access security settings

  • Click your name in the top right of the interface, then Settings.
  • In the Security tab, find the Two-factor authentication section.
  • Click Enable 2FA.

Step 2: Scan the QR code

  • A QR code appears on screen.
  • Open your authenticator app, tap + then scan the QR code.
  • Your app now shows a 6-digit code that refreshes every 30 seconds.

Step 3: Confirm activation

  • In Cathedra Manager, enter the 6-digit code shown in your app.
  • Click Verify and activate.
  • 2FA is now active on your account.

Step 4: Save your backup codes

  • After activation, 10 backup codes are provided. Each code can only be used once.
  • Download them and store them somewhere safe (password manager, digital safe).
  • These codes are your only way in if you lose your phone.
Backup codes are only shown once. If you lose them, contact your Administrator to reset your 2FA.
