Tax receipt — generate, send, correct
The tax receipt allows the donor to declare their donation to the tax authorities. Cathedra Manager generates this document in the official format, stores it permanently and can send it automatically by email.
Generate a receipt
- From the record of a validated donation, click View tax receipt.
- The PDF opens in a new tab.
- On first opening, the PDF is generated then permanently stored in our secure storage.
- All subsequent views retrieve the same file — identical to the one emailed if applicable.
The receipt contains
- Your parish's full details (name, address, SIRET or charity number if entered)
- The receipt number and date of issue
- The donor's full details
- The amount in words and figures, the payment method and the donation date
- The campaign and cheque reference if entered
- The legal certification formula and fiscal mentions
Grouped receipt (multiple donations from the same donor)
- In the list, select several donations from the same donor.
- Click Grouped receipt in the floating action bar (50 donations maximum).
- A summary PDF is generated and downloaded directly.
Correcting a donation whose receipt has already been issued
- Open the relevant donation record.
- Click Cancel donation and enter a reason (e.g. incorrect amount).
- The system automatically creates an accounting reversal (mirror entry).
- Click Duplicate to create a new pre-filled draft.
- Correct the erroneous information, then validate the draft.
- A new receipt number is assigned to the corrected donation.
The cancelled donation's receipt will automatically display an "CANCELLED" watermark if reopened. It remains viewable for archival purposes.
